  • Ludum Dare 26
    This update has been a little later than planned. But I've been quite busy these past few weeks. So for now I'll just give a little short update.
    I am currently taking part in the latest Ludum Dare 48 hour competition. The theme this time around is "Minimalist" so I've decided to go for a simple-ish 3D voxel cube game.     New game, update, and stuff
    So it's been a while since I've last posted an update. Near the end of last year I entered the Samsung Student Development Challenge with 3 other friends under the name of Table 32 Studios. For the competition we have been developing an app for the Samsung Note 1/2/8/10.1 devices called Micro Arcade Factory. Judging begins on the 11th March so we're all pretty excited and anxious on how it will go.

    Site updates and general stuff
    I've been a little busy recently with university coursework and various little things so I haven't really been updating the website. Since I had finished for the summer I decided to take a little break but now I'm back. Over the next few days I plan to add more functionality to this site with the recent addition of a main "Blog" page. This will provide easier access to all previously posted blogs.

    Unity, Android and pseudo 3D...
    Over the past few weeks I've been looking into various things for my coursework and other personal projects. Learned a little bit about the git version control system as well as refreshing myself with svn. For one of my coursework projects I have to write a game for the PS2 involving some sort of pseudo 3D effect. For which I have decided to attempt the ray-casting method used by id Software most notably in their Wolfenstein 3D and original Doom games.
